Arsenic is element #33

1.Arsenic got its name from the persian word Zarnikh, wich means "yellow orpiment" was lifted from arsenikos, the greek word for potent. In different languauges: Arsen,ArsĂ©nico,ArsĂȘnic

2. As a pure element i look like this.

3. There are 33 protons and 42 neutrons. The atomic mass of me is around 75. The natural abundance of me is 100%.

4. I have 33 electrons in me. I have 4 electron shells.

5. My atomic radius is 115pm

6. The more common form of arsenic is a shiny, gray, brittle, metallic looking solid. The less common one is a yellow crystal solid.

7. My abundance in my body is 0.00301910, and in the universe it is about .o1 by atoms.

8. Some compounds I can make are arsenic trifluoride, arsenic trichloride, arsenic tribomide, and arsenic triiodide.

9.Was mined by the early Chinese, Greek and Egyptian civilizations. Albertus Magnus obtained the element in 1250 A.D. who obtained it by heating soap
together with orpiment.

10. Many manufacturers use arsenic to make glass, metals, and many other things. Scientist use it to make new formulas and discoveries.

  1. Welcome to my blog
  2. What I love
  3. What I dream to accomplish

Welcome to my blog. MY name is Manuel Ortiz and i will be blogging about chemistry and many other good topics. Well my favorite sport is football and i love top play it, i think that my favorite class to go to in school would be english, and my favorite food would be pizza. I plan to  get good grades and pass high school so i can go to college and get a job during and be successful in life.

Why Big Fr and Hungry F",

  1. Why Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and EN
  2. Why Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE
  3. Why Noble Gases don't have EN values
  4. Why Fluorine has the highest EN
    1. Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and EN because its on the lower left of the periodic table andits easy for it to lose an electron.
    2. Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE because its at the top rightof the periodic table and its hard to for it to lose an elecetron.
    3. Noble gases dont have EN values because they dont gain electrons because of there outer shells and negative charge.
    4. Flourine has the highest EN because it has the fewest shells so it has an attraction to alot of other electrons.
